If you follow the a lot of Street Art accounts on Instagram, you will regularly see works of ‘The Bushwick Collective‘. Now we are in New York.. up and go to Brooklyn. We started our day at the Brooklyn Bridge with a walking from Manhattan to Brooklyn, this is truly an iconic walk. On the other side of East River you find Dumbo, with its cobbled streets and converted warehouses, luxury restaurants and trendy cafes. It is busy there, but we could make the famous photo with the Manhattan Bride in the background with my family.
Then we took the AC subway line at High Str. to Broadway Junction. From there we took the Gray L line and got off at Jefferson Street Subway station, you are in the middle of Bushwick now! The neighborhood is as you would hope… raw, abandoned buildings, rubbish… but also many new places, which gives you the feeling that this neighborhood is living up. Around Jefferson Street you will immediately see a lot of graffiti, large murals and cool paste-up places where you will find the well-known stickers such as City Kitty, RX Skulls and many others. Thanks to Sarah (catscoffeecreativity) again for the digital walking route through Bushwick past all the beautiful works like, HERA of herakut, Mr. June, Louis Michel, Wellington Naberezny & Mr.Blob. This neighborhood… heaven.. and don’t forget to eat a Pizza at Artichoke!
